what is field of screams?
This Halloween, come experience the haunt that has everyone terrified. Field of Screams is a haunted walk through the dark like none other. This year we have a new format that lets you choose your experience.
New Format, New Haunts
This year we have the Terror Institute along with Outbreak. Outbreak is offered only on Friday and Saturday event days. You can decide what experience you want on the ticketing pages. The main haunts are:
THE TERROR INSTITUTE
"Knowledge Has a Price."
For more than a century, The Terror Institute stood as one of the nation's most prestigious research universities. Founded in 1908, the Institute attracted only the brightest minds in science, medicine, engineering, psychology, and the arts. Behind its reputation for excellence, however, the faculty pursued research the outside world was never meant to discover.
Hidden beneath the campus, a network of underground steam tunnels connected every building to a classified research complex. There, professors conducted illegal experiments designed to eliminate fear, increase intelligence, and create the perfect human.
The experiments worked...
...until they didn't.
Students began disappearing. Faculty members locked themselves inside laboratories. Entire departments were quarantined. The campus mascot—once the proud symbol of the Institute—was selected as the first human test subject for Project Chimera, an experimental genetic enhancement program.
No one knows exactly what happened. Only that something escaped.
Today, the Institute has been abandoned for decades. Every autumn, strange lights return to the windows. Steam rises from tunnels that should have gone cold years ago.
The cafeteria prepares meals for students who never leave. The library records new names in books that were written long ago. The drama department performs the same final production every night...
...for an audience of the dead.
The faculty are still teaching. The students are still learning. The experiments are still continuing. And somewhere within the Institute...
the Mascot is still hunting.
YOUR JOURNEY
Your orientation begins in the forgotten Steam Tunnels, where the Institute's darkest research was secretly transported beneath the campus.
You'll emerge into the abandoned Courtyard, where desperate students once gathered before the campus was sealed forever.
Inside the Science Laboratory, unfinished experiments continue without their creators.
The Drama & Fine Arts Department blurs the line between performance and reality, where every guest becomes part of the final act.
The Library contains forbidden research, cursed archives, and the names of every visitor who never found the exit.
The Art Studio is filled with creations that seem far too lifelike... because they are.
The Mechanics Shop still echoes with the sounds of impossible machines built for purposes no one can explain.
Finally, you'll enter the Cafeteria, where the last meal is always served...
...and graduation is never an option.
Because once you enroll at The Terror Institute...

This year our haunt remains a 12+ recommended show. Having said this, you know your children better than we do. We will allow kids from the age of 8 and up. Children younger than 8 years old will only be able to ride the Outbreak Zombie Thrill Ride. Children less than 5 years old will not be allowed past the entrance under any circumstance. Infants cannot be carried through the haunt.
Spend some time getting some selfies or having some snacks from our vendors. Maybe save up some courage to come back another day. This year there will be some cool souvenirs and don’t forget to pick up or purchase your T-shirt prior to leaving.
Also look for our Flex Pass Tickets. Perfect for those of you that want to secure your spot to the haunt but you are not sure of the date or time yet. These limited passes will allow you to show up anytime on your schedule and you will be admitted that day.
Wait times are to be expected. For those of you that hate wait times, we have a very limited VIP package that expedites check-in and bypasses long lines. This package also includes a Field of Screams Tri T-shirt. Look for VIP packages when booking. Also note that packages will be adjusted for peak pricing. Have a look at various dates and times to choose from and the respective prices associated with them. We look forward to seeing you this season.
****WARNING. Due to supply chain issues, there will be no on-site adult diapers to purchase. Bring your own or bring a change of clothes. *****
- Wear footwear that is appropriate for the weather. The trail is mostly on artificial grass, closed toe shoes are recommended.
- Walk-ins are welcome but subject to availability. Reserved guests have priority. Wait times should still be expected.
- The reservations are for check-in times. This allows us to spread out the arrival of guests. Some will arrive early; some will arrive late. We will do our best to accommodate everyone. The check-in time is the time you should be arriving to check in for waivers. Completing the waivers in advance before coming to the park will significantly reduce your wait times. Afterward, you can redeem your ticket purchase for the haunt passes. From there, you will be staged into the haunt queue line. Remember anyone visiting the park must complete a waiver even if they are just going to wait for those going through the attraction. Park waivers must be completed for all attendees and guests ages 0 to 100.
- $75/Person plus tax for the VIP Haunt Pass which includes Outbreak Thrill Ride, a T-shirt, priority check-in, and VIP line queues.
- $Prices vary by date and time. Check ticketing website.
- This year you may buy one extra ammo pack per rider at check-in only. The price is $10.00 plus tax for an additional 100 rounds.
- Age 12+ is recommended as a guideline for parents. Age 8+ and up with parents’ discretion will be allowed in the haunt. Age 5 – 7 will be restricted to Outbreak only. Attendees under 5 will not be allowed past the entrance for any reason. Infants are not allowed to be carried through the haunt.
- Extremely limited spots available on show nights. Reserve as soon as possible to avoid missing this attraction.
- No filming is allowed and doing so may end your haunt immediately.
